On Sunday, April 8, 1990, between the hours of 3:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., a body of a newborn black male baby was found floating near the West bank of the Chattahoochee River in Heard County, Georgia. The location of the discover was approximately three miles south of Franklin, one quarter mile north of Snake Creek Access between channel markers #123 and #124. Baby Chattahoochee was found with no clothing and the umbilical stump still attached.
