On Saturday, December 16, 2006, an unidentified white male wearing a ski mask entered Pat’s Hallmark store in Blairsville, Georgia. The suspect produced a small caliber handgun and demanded money. Witness statements indicate that the suspect stated several times that he "was sorry to have to do this, but his kids were hungry and it's Christmas".
