On Tuesday, February 9 , 1988, 78-year-old Edward Gholson was found deceased inside his home located in Milledgeville, Baldwin County, Georgia. His death was ruled as a homicide.

At approximately 1 p.m., Gholson’s body was discovered by an insurance agent who came by the residence to collect insurance dues. Gholson was observed in a restaurant in town by witnesses the morning of his death.  The Region 6 Milledgeville GBI office was requested to assist in the investigation shortly thereafter the discovery of his body. Gholson resided alone at his residence. Gholson is identified as a Caucasian Male, 78 YOA, with grey hair.

The GBI Cold Case Unit in conjunction with the GBI Region 6 Field Office are asking for any assistance or information from the public which would lead to the identity of the person(s) responsible for the death of Edward Gholson.
